Pay With The Right Card – Wallet

A fanned stack of four cards with the 5% one brought to the front, under a flat statement: you're paying with the wrong card.

What this screen does

'YOU'RE PAYING WITH THE WRONG CARD' is an accusation, and a mild one the viewer probably cannot refute. Most people with several cards do not track which earns most where, so the claim lands as an uncomfortable likelihood rather than a sales pitch — and being told you are losing money quietly is more motivating than being offered a reward.

The fanned stack shows the problem physically. Four cards is exactly the number at which choosing correctly stops being manageable, and pulling one to the front demonstrates the solution in the same image that states the problem.

'We'll pick the right card at every checkout' promises automation rather than education. The alternative products in this category tell you which card to use; this one says you will never have to think about it. That is a much easier thing to buy.

Showing masked digits — '•••• 4417' — is a small credibility detail. It is how a real wallet displays a card, and it signals the product handles card data the way a financial app should.

'Bank-level encryption · your cards stay yours' addresses the obvious objection to handing a stack of cards to an app. Nothing else on the card matters if that fear is unresolved.

Best for

  • Digital wallets and payment apps
  • Card-linked rewards and cashback optimisers
  • Banking apps with a multi-card view
  • Audiences who genuinely carry several cards with different reward structures
  • Markets with strong card rewards competition, where the optimisation is worth real money

Making it yours

  • Use generic card artwork unless you have permission to show real issuers — bank branding is licensed and this is the card most likely to get an ad rejected.
  • Set the reward percentage to something realistic for your market.
  • State your actual security posture; vague claims invite scrutiny in this category.
  • Adjust the number of cards — three or four reads as a normal wallet, eight reads as an edge case.
  • Keep the ownership line if true. 'Your cards stay yours' answers the fear that the app takes control.
  • Check financial-promotion rules before shipping; several markets regulate this language closely.

Templates are a starting point, not a constraint. The documentation walks through changing one into your own ad and exporting it.
