Acceptable Use Policy

What you may and may not build here. Most of it comes down to one idea: do not make an ad you would be embarrassed to be caught making.

Last updated 9 September 2026

Why this exists

Play Ads Maker hosts files people upload and produces ads that end up in front of strangers, often children playing mobile games. That puts a floor under what we are willing to have built here. This policy is part of the Terms of Service.

Do not build ads that mislead

Deceptive playables are the single biggest reason creatives get rejected, and they are the reason the format has the reputation it does. Specifically, do not:

  • Show gameplay that does not exist in the app being advertised.
  • Use a fake close button, a fake system dialog, or a fake error message to force a tap.
  • Imitate another company's app, brand or game to borrow its audience.
  • Promise a reward, prize or download that the advertised app does not deliver.
  • Fake a progress bar, a countdown or a loading state to manufacture urgency.

Do not upload what is not yours

Logos, characters, music, footage, fonts and screenshots all belong to somebody. Upload them only if you own them or hold a licence covering this use. “It was on the internet” is not a licence.

If you believe someone here has used your work without permission, the copyright policy explains how to tell us.

Content we will not host

  • Sexual content, and anything sexualising a minor — which we report rather than merely remove.
  • Content promoting hatred or violence against people for who they are.
  • Gratuitous violence or gore.
  • Harassment of a specific person, or content using someone's name or likeness without consent.
  • Promotion of illegal drugs, weapons, or other unlawful goods.
  • Gambling or loot-box mechanics presented in a way that hides the odds.
  • Malware, phishing, or any code that does something other than what it appears to.

Do not attack the service

Do not:

  • Try to reach accounts, projects or files that are not yours.
  • Probe for vulnerabilities without telling us first — write to us and we will happily talk.
  • Automate the editor, scrape it, or drive it with a bot.
  • Upload so much, or so fast, that it degrades the service for other people.
  • Use the file storage as a general-purpose drive for things that are not part of an ad.

Ad network rules still apply

Unity, AppLovin, IronSource, Meta and Google each publish their own creative policies, and those cover things this page does not. Meeting our rules is not the same as passing their review — you are responsible for reading theirs before you ship.

What happens if you break this

Depending on how bad it is: we remove the content, we suspend the account, or we close it. Serious cases — anything involving a child, anything criminal — go to the relevant authorities.

Where we reasonably can, we will tell you what happened and why, and you can reply if you think we have got it wrong.

Telling us about something

If you come across something here that breaks these rules, write to us. Include a link and enough detail to find it, and we will look.
