Cookie Policy

Which cookies we set, what each one does, and how to control them. It is a short list.

The short version

We use cookies for one thing: keeping you signed in. There are no advertising cookies on this site, no analytics cookies, and nothing following you to other websites. That is why you are not seeing a cookie banner — there is nothing here to ask you to opt into.

What a cookie is

A small file a website leaves in your browser so it can recognise you on your next request. Without one, a website has no way of knowing that the person loading this page is the same person who signed in a minute ago.

The cookies we set

CookieWhat it doesHow long it lasts
session_tokenKeeps you signed in. Without it you would have to log in on every page.30 days, refreshed while you keep using the editor
csrf_tokenConfirms that a request saving or deleting something really came from you, rather than from another site acting in your name.Until you close the browser

Both are strictly necessary — the service cannot sign you in without them, so they are set whether or not you consent, and turning them off means not being able to log in.

Signing in with Google

If you use the Google sign-in button, Google sets its own cookies as part of that. Those are Google’s, governed by Google’s privacy policy, and we have no control over them. Sign in with an email and password instead and Google is never involved.

Things that are not cookies, but are worth telling you about

The editor keeps some things in your browser’s own storage rather than in a cookie. None of it is sent to us:

WhatWhereWhy
Editor preferencesLocal storageYour grid, snapping and preview settings, so the editor opens the way you left it.
Local draftsIndexedDBWork in progress before you save it to an account, including uploaded files. It is why you can close the tab and come back.
Dismissed hintsLocal storageA note that you have closed a tip, so it stops reappearing.

Clearing your browser data clears all of it — including local drafts, so export anything you care about first.

What we do not use

No Google Analytics. No advertising or retargeting pixels. No social media trackers. No third-party scripts building a profile of you across the web. If that changes, this page changes first and we will ask you before setting anything that is not strictly necessary.

Turning them off

Every browser lets you block or delete cookies, usually under Settings → Privacy. Blocking ours means you cannot stay signed in, so saved projects will be out of reach — but the editor itself will still run.

Ads you export

The files Play Ads Makerexports do not set cookies of ours. What an ad does once it is running inside a network’s SDK is governed by that network, not by this policy.

More on your data

What we collect beyond cookies is set out in the Privacy Policy.
