Fix That One – Quiz Result

Four out of five, better than 78% of learners — and then the one question that was missed, printed in full with the wrong answer named.

What this screen does

The score comes first and it is a good one. 4/5 and 'Better than 78% of learners on this unit' establishes competence before anything else, because a learner who feels capable continues and a learner who feels stupid leaves.

Then the card does the thing almost no result screen does: it shows the actual missed question. 'Which molecule is split to release oxygen?' is printed in full, so the viewer is holding an unresolved question in their head. That open loop is the strongest pull on the card — it is genuinely uncomfortable not to know the answer.

'You answered CO₂ · 61% of learners pick this too' is a careful piece of writing. It names the mistake without embarrassment and immediately makes it ordinary — most people get this one wrong. The learner is corrected and reassured in the same line, which is the difference between a card that motivates and one that stings.

'Nail it and your 9-day learning streak holds' adds a second reason to continue on top of curiosity, layering habit protection over the open question.

'Free · 5 minutes a day · No account needed' sets the cost of continuing at almost nothing — no money, little time, no sign-up wall.

Best for

  • Language learning and general education apps
  • Exam preparation and professional certification
  • Kids' and school learning products
  • Trivia and quiz games, where the same open-loop mechanic drives replays
  • Any product that can honestly report a result back to the learner

Making it yours

  • Use a real question from your content, at a difficulty that is genuinely commonly missed.
  • Keep the score high. This card motivates from a position of near-success, not failure.
  • Name the wrong answer people actually pick, and state the proportion honestly.
  • Do not reveal the correct answer — the open loop is the entire mechanism, and closing it removes the reason to tap.
  • Match the unit and subject naming to your curriculum.
  • Adjust the streak and daily-time claims to your product's real shape.

Next steps

Templates are a starting point, not a constraint. The documentation walks through changing one into your own ad and exporting it.
